I'm playing on a 3.3.5a server right now and figured I'd check out some old guides. This is supposedly a PvP guide, yet your talents are completely awful for PvP.
1) You take Reflective Shield. This is AWFUL. The reason for this is if you have a DOT on you, and you then shield yourself, the enemy can never be blinded, polymorphed, etc. When the DOT ticks onto reflective shield, the damage goes back to the enemy and breaks the CC on them. Not worth the risk and frees up 2 points.
2) You don't take Improved Mana Burn????? This talent is completely essential. So many games are won by Mana Burning the opponents, without this then it's almost impossible to get burns off.
3) You don't take silent resolve? Why? 30% reduced chance that your spells will be dispelled. This is an amazing ability that I would take FOR SURE.
4) You take 2/2 in Renewed Hope, but only 1/2 in Grace. This just seems stupid to me. Renewed Hope lasts 1 minute, and applies to your entire party on shields. There's no need for 2 points here, since even with only 1 point it still has a 50% chance to proc the buff, in the entire one minute it takes to expire, you are FOR SURE going to cast enough shields to get a 50% chance proc again, basically meaning you can keep it up at all times with only one point, so the second point is wasted. As for Grace, 1 point here is fine. I like to take 2 to guarantee some dispel fodder if I Penance myself, but 1 is fine. I just didn't like to see 1 in Grace when you put 2 in Renewed Hope.
So yeah, these are my criticisms. Hope it is constructive. I would also like to add that you state the hit cap is 5%, but it's actually 6%. You have a 96% chance to hit other level 80 players, so 4% will bring you to a 100% chance. The reason you take 6% is because Undead and Blood Elves both have a passive that adds a 2% miss chance to shadow spells, so in order to hit cap against them you need 6%. Anyway, please update your guide! Thanks.
